About The Third Level

What's this all about?
It's about a place to put some fiction. It's all about a place to get some writing done (helps with my personal discipline). It's about getting away.

What's it not about?
It's not about fact. Nothing you read in this blog, other than this post is fact. Nothing is related to my feelings about anything. Nothing is related to you or anyone you know, or has any relationship to anything in this or any other real world. It's speculative fiction.

What's the title all about?
It's related to one of my favourite speculative fiction stories called The Third Level by Jack Finney. It's the story of a man who finds a third level in Central Station, where there is no third level. This third level leads to a world of the past where everything is peaceful and less hectic than the modern world of the main character. It was first published in Colliers magazine. Oct 7, 1950. It was reprinted many times including Finney's own collection The Third Level (which I own). It's truly escapist fiction, and I like that.

Welcome, gentle reader
So welcome to The Third Level, my speculative fiction blog, where I plan to escpape. I hope you'll join me occassionally. I hope you'll enjoy and escape too.

I read the intro. Sounds very cool. Usually drugs are for escapism. The most powerful drug I've ever encountered is the imagination. Looking forward to reading some after rehearsal tonight.I thought I'd start posting on the myspace page shown below. Check in occasionally.

Cool. I check out myspace every once in a while. But you have to post something other than the brilliant "Looking Out My Window".

I want some lyrics, man. Profezzionelle Muze-ition that you is.....

Oh yeah, Kel, experiences flavour and make writings possible. But it's a mistake for the reader to attribute a piece of fiction to fact.
